The audio of Islands of the Blessed is entirely original, composed, recorded and mixed under the artist name SCRIB.ONE. Each island, each biome, and each encounter has its own sonic identity, drawing on ancient civilizations as well as far more modern textures and sounds.

The music of Eldoria doesn't simply accompany the player: it shifts and distorts along with them as they go deeper. As the Drift settles in, layers move, cross and collide, ringing together to create unusual sonic textures. Melodies that were once luminous become heavy, dissonant, unstable. The score reflects what the player's mind feels and sees of the world around them.

The audio presented here reflects an early version of the game and will evolve throughout development.

Ambient & Exploration

Sanctuary — Exploration Theme
The main ambient loop for the Sanctuary. Mediterranean strings, soft pads, light acoustic elements: the world as it once was, fragile and luminous. A theme for open spaces and for getting ready between expeditions.

SFX & Sound Design — The Corruption

Eldoria's Corruption can be heard: it has an audio signature. Each of the four drones below corresponds to a state of that corruption of the world, from mild unease to the complete breakdown of reality. They're designed to layer and cross dynamically as the player moves deeper into their surroundings.

Drift — SFX Drone 01
A low, persistent unease. The world looks almost normal, but something is wrong with the frequencies.

Presence — SFX Drone 02
Something is watching. This second drone introduces a presence you feel but never see: filtered textures suggesting a shape just beyond perception. The illusions begin.

Fault — SFX Drone 03
Harsh mid-frequency distortion. The sound of a mind under pressure discovering the fault lines in its own perception.

Threshold — SFX Drone 04
The world has broken open. This fourth drone is the sound of the threshold between reality and whatever waits on the other side: full low-end saturation, fragments of voice in a language you can't place, the sensation of standing at the edge of something that should not exist.

How the score works

The audio of Islands of the Blessed is composed and produced entirely in-house under the artist name SCRIB.ONE, then implemented directly in Unreal Engine 5 using MetaSounds — without any external middleware.

The system is built around layers rather than linear tracks. Each musical theme has a base layer that always plays, with additional layers — rhythmic, melodic, tension — that activate dynamically based on game state, zone, and Drift level. As the Drift deepens, layers don't switch off: they filter, distort, and gradually transform.
